2019 SUMMER CAMPS
Cache Valley Gymnastics
The Cache Valley Gymnastics Overnight Camp will be directed by Utah State Head Coach and Choreographer Amy Smith. Additional coaches will include Utah State Assistant Coaches Whitnee Johnson and Erik Lewis, top coaches from other universities and clubs as well as current and former Utah State gymnastics team members.
Campers are provided wth an atmosphere of learning combined with a lot of fun. Basic gymnastic skills are reinforced, while new skills and skill progressions are pursued. The Cache Valley Gymnastics Camps coaching staff is dedicated to improving the skills of each and every gymnast.
Campers will be introduced to and/or continue to learn the fundamental basics on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, trampoline, dance as well as a video station. Gymnasts will work towards improving basic beginner, as well as some advanced skills, while gaining overall strength, balance and flexibility in the sport of gymnastics. This Summer Camp is great for both beginner gymnasts curious about the sport, and for those that are interested in competing the sport and currently competing in the sport!! The Overnight Camp fee includes all room and board, and day and extended day campers will also recieve meals. All camp fees include Cache Valley Gymnastics Camp t-shirt and awards.

Levels: Beginner through Elite. Open to any and all entrants
Campers can receive a $25.00 discount per session, if the person paying for the camp is a member of the following groups:
USU Alumni Association
USU Faculty or Staff
Aggies Unlimited Member
Proof of membership or USU faculty/staff ID can be submitted with registration in order to have the discount be applied. The discount is applicable only if the person paying is a member of the above groups.

FACILITIES AND ACCOMODATIONS:
Campers will be training in the newly renovated home of the the Utah State Gymnastics Team.
Overnight Campers will be residing in on campus dorms. Campers MUST provide their own: PILLOW, BLANKET, BED LINEN, and TOWELS. The dormitory is air-conditioned so you will not need to bring a fan. All campers are required to pay a $40 KEY DEPOSIT in cash which the camper will receive at Check-Out when they return their key. Roommate requests are taken but not guaranteed.
All meals will be provided in the Market Place dining facilities. The dining hall serves sandwiches, pastas, vegetables, fruits, cereals, eggs, etc. and an extensive salad bar at every lunch and dinner.
Counselors and Coaches reside in the dorms with the campers. Counselors are responsible for no more than 12 campers. Each counselor’s room is easily identified. Trainers and Camp administrators also reside in the dorm should a camper need emergency access to medical assistance, phone, etc. Discipline problems (curfews, rules & regulations) are handled by calling the parent immediately, no matter the hour.
Campers are not allowed to leave the dormitory or the Gymnastics Training Facility unless supervised by a camp couselor or coach of the Cache Valley Gymnastics Camp. Parents must send an email and sign a release if you would wish to take your child out of the care of the Cache Valley Gymnastics Camp during camp time.
HEALTH & SAFETY
A certified athletic trainer will be on staff and in attendance for all gymnastics sessions. Each camper must have Medical & Health Insurance Information, Emergency Information and Release form signed by parent or guardian to participate. All necessary forms included in the registration. Each camper will be covered by the Sports Camp Insurance as secondary coverage. Parents health insurance is the primary coverage in the event of an injury.
If you are planning to come in the night before camp starts we can accomodate your daughter in the dorms with supervision as well as provide transportation to and from SLC. If you would like to utilize these options please send an email letting us know.
